The Greater Philadelphia Chapter collaborates with some of the best ALS physicians and clinics in our region. These clinics emphasis hope and quality of life in a supportive, family-oriented environment, while enabling patients to receive specialized care during a single visit from a multidisciplinary team of health care professionals. Additionally, an ALS Association social worker is situated at each of these clinics to ensure vital home- and community-based services are accessible to patients.
ALS Association Certified and Recognized Treatment Centers Official designation by The ALS Association means that a facility provides evidence-based, multi-disciplinary ALS care and services in a supportive atmosphere with an emphasis on hope and quality of life. To receive designation as an ALS Association Recognized Treatment Center, a facility must meet The ALS Association's clinical care and treatment standards that are based on American Academy of Neurology Practice Parameters, as well as successfully complete a comprehensive site review. If a facility also participates in ALS-related research, then it is eligible to receive designation as an ALS Association Certified Treatment Center of Excellence.
