Scott A. Mackler, MD, PhD, Assistive Technology Program provides credentialed technologists who train people with ALS how to use assistive devices. Additionally, the program can provide devices to patients and their families that are often not covered by insurance. These devices may include communication technology, telecommunications, computer access, electronic aids to assist with daily living, and assistance with seating and mobility issues.
